B23-0719 extends unemployment insurance to any employee affected by DCs public health emergency declarations. Waives penalties and interest for unpaid business taxes, and extends deadline for paying 1st quarter business taxes to June 30, 2020 for motels and hotels, and July 20, 2020 for all other businesses. It also creates Small Business grant and loan program, and waives filing fee for corporate biennial report.
B23-0718 establishes a public health emergency grant program for small businesses that demonstrate financial distress due to the public health emergency.
Mayor Bowser has extended license renewal date (for those licenses expiring during the declared state of emergency) until 45 days after the delcared emergency is over.
