The District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers is a State Society of the National Society of Professional Engineers for the District of Columbia.

The District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers dedicates itself to the promotion of the professional engineer and the protection of the public safety, health and welfare of our nation’s capital through outreach and education.

The District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers has over 70 individuals from all engineering disciplines and practices.

We represent civil, chemical, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers who practice in industry, construction, private practice, education, and government.

President's Message

It seems fitting to post my first message on our new website, which was launched this month. I am honored and privileged to assume the role of President of the District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers for 2018–2019. I was moved into this position on short notice last Fall after Tiffani Bryant, then President-elect, accepted a position on the West Coast.

NSPE is the only organization that advocates for the licensed professional engineer. There are a lot of other great organizations out there for the engineering profession, but NSPE is on the professional engineer focus.
